Hi, I read that the 1 day open metro pass for foreign visitors is sold at Narita or Haneda, but we are coming in from Osaka KIX, and get to Tokyo by train, we will stay in NishiShinjuku area, does anyone know where we can get this subway pass beside going to the airport? Thank you very much

You can buy it at travel agents in Osaka, or in select hotels inside Tokyo if you are a guest at that hotel. The full list is available here: http://www.tokyometro.jp/en/ticket/value/travel/Note that even at 600 yen, this can be a hard pass to make pay off unless you are doing extensive subway travel. An IC card or regular tickets are likely to cost about the same and give you the freedom to use JR lines as well.

Also note that a Tokyo Metro Open Ticket is not valid on the four Toei subway lines (= Asakusa, Mita, Oedo and Shinjuku lines). Nishi-shinjuku Station is a Tokyo Metro station, while Tochomae Station, which is also located in Nishi-shinjuku district, is a Toei subway station.
A Tokyo Subway Ticket is valid on all the thirteen lines of Tokyo subway network.
