Hello
I will purchase 7 day JR pass and would like your input on my itinerary as follows:
Day 1-4 Tokyo
Day 4 Nikko or Hakone for the day,
7 day JR pass(activate)
Day 5-9 Kyoto, Nara
Day 10 Kamakura (to Tokyo at night)
Day 11-14 Tokyo
Is it worth it to purchase 7 day JR pass?

Yes, a 7-day Japan Rail Pass will provide you with small savings over regular tickets. But I would start using it from day 4. You are likely to save more money by using it on day 4 on a day trip to Nikko or Hakone than for urban transportation around Tokyo on day 11.
