reserve seat train 2014/8/11 07:57
Hi I will be traveling from Tokyo to hakodate and I see from hyperdia that I need to reserve seat on the Shinkansen Hayabusa from Tokyo to Shin-Aomori
1) How to reserve seat, online or need to go to station to reserve.
2) which station should I go to reserve seat?
3) What happen If I miss the Shinkansen that I reserved ?
4) Is JR pass cover for this line?
5) Can I reserve seat on that day of traveling?
6) Are there Any chance that the shinkansen will be fully reserve, I'm traveling on 20 Dec
7) Will train stop or cancel If there are heavy snowing.

If you're using the JR Pass, just take it to the ticket office and book your trip. Simple as that!

You can reserve a seat at basically any manned JR station/midori no madoguchi, just let them know the day/time/number of the Hayabusa you want to ride.

If you don't ride it nothing happens, besides maybe someone missing out on a seat.

Reserving on the day itself on the 20th should probably be okay, though getting a bit close to new year's.

Delays can happen in extreme weather, but it should be fine.
