Kyoto in 2 days 2014/8/30 09:11
Hello,
I'm visiting japan in March and I'm going to stay 2 whole days in Kyoto. I'd really like to visit all of these attractions:
-Kinkaku-ji
-Ginkaku-ji
-Daigo-ji
-Daikaku-ji
-Fushimi Inari Shrine
-Philosopherfs walk
-Bamboo path
-Gion
But I don't know if I can do all of them in 2 days!
What do you think? If it's not possible, what do you suggest it is no worth seeing?
I'm also very confused about the buses I'm going to take. Do you have any opinions about transportation to each attraction?
I'm staying in the centre of Kyoto ( near shjo station)
Thank you very much!!

If you travel at a fast pace, it can be done. However, if you prefer a medium or slow pace, it will be difficult or completely impossible to cover it all.

The following groupings seem efficient to me:

Day 1:
-Fushimi Inari Shrine
-----train
-Bamboo path
-----walk or taxi
-Daikaku-ji
-----taxi
-Kinkaku-ji

Day 2:
-Daigo-ji
-----subway
-Philosopherfs walk
-----walk
-Ginkaku-ji
-----bus or taxi
-Gion

An early start in the morning, a relatively fast pace of travel and efficient transportation between the sites will be necessary. That means: don't use buses. They are too slow. Use rail bound transportation and taxis.
