JR Pass : Tokyo - Nagano - Kyoto - Tokyo 2014/9/1 22:08
Hello to all,
We are a group consist of 7 people are going to Japan next year (late sept till early oct)
most of us are first timer. and we were considering getting JR Pass for our trip in 7 days,
and this is our itinerary :

#Tokyo - Nagano, planning to go to Kamikochi
#Nagano - (fuji) - Kyoto, spend 2 days there (we knew that Kyoto's JR Line is not as many as Tokyo)
and we were planning to stop at fuji for sightseeing for at least a half day
#Kyoto - Tokyo, and for the last 3 days we will spend it in Tokyo

And I was wondering, do you think with this itinerary, the JR Pass will pay off?
Or should we just buy regular tickets?

We prefer for the most efficient solution, because other than money aspect, time is also very important.

Thanks A lot! any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Thanks vinces7, so as long as we do a roundtrip Tokyo - Kyoto, JR Pass will pay off? Am I Right?

What about my itinerary? Do you think it's doable (from timewise and money) if we're not going to buy JR Pass?

Once again thanks a lot for the answer!
