Return Transport Osaka/Kanazawa/Myokokogen

Our family of 5 with 2 younger kids are visiting Myoko Kogen and Kanazawa in mid Dec for 10 days. We are starting and ending our trip in Osaka. Please advise the most cost effective ways to get around and the route details as this is our first trip. How many days should we stay in Kanazawa in Dec? Domo Arigato.

Hi
The easist way to get Myokokogen from Osaka is bus. There are some direct night buses which cost 8,700 - 15,000 JPY round trip per person. it depends grades of the buses.
If you take trains from Osaka, Kanazawa, Naoetsu and then Myokokogen. You need to transfer trains twice. it takes 6 hours and 12,000 JPY one way per person.
After Myokokogen, you can go to Nagano, Nagoya and back to Osaka. From Nagoya to Osaka is the only chance to take Shinkansen.
