Hello,

My friend and me will touch down Kansai Interantional Airport around 1.30am and will be staying 4 days in Kawanishi-cho Kyoto (nearest station is Kujo) and 2 days in Osaka (nearest station is Nihonbashi). We will leave Japan early morning to catch opur flight home.

Questions: The easiet and cheapest way to travel
1. from Kansai International Airport to Kawanishi-cho Kyoto
2. from Kawanishi-cho Kyoto to in Nihonbashi Osaka
3. from Nihonbashi Osaka to Kansai International Airport
4. Moving around Kyoto and Osaka in 6 days

Thank you and have a nice day.

Moving around Kyoto and Osaka in 6 days

When will you travel?
Which places will you visit?

My friend and me will touch down Kansai International Airport around 1.30am and will be staying 4 days in Kawanishicho Kyoto (nearest station is Kujo)

Around 1:30 am in the night?
There is no limousine bus or railroad connection from KIX for Kyoto after the midnight until around 6 am.
The nearest lodging place is Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport, which is located in the Aeroplaza of KIX. Or, you might hope to wait for several hours somewhere in the Aeroplaza.

and 2 days in Osaka (nearest station is Nihonbashi).

Here "Nihonbashi" seems to be misreading of kanji characters referring to Nippombashi.
(Nihonbashi / Nihombashi in Tokyo and Nipponbashi / Nippombashi in Osaka are written with the same three kanji characters.)

Nippombashi Station is on Sakaisuji and Sennichimae Lines of Osaka Municipal Subway.
Kintetsu-Nippombashi Station (on Namba Line of Kintetsu) is located nearby.

The easiest and cheapest way to travel

Cheapest options are mostly not easiest.

Kansai-airport Stations of JR-West and of Nankai are in KIX Terminal 1.
You can travel mainly by JR from KIX to Higashi-kujo Kawanishicho, Minami Ward, City of Kyoto.
You can travel back mainly by Nankai from around Nippombashi, Chuo Ward, City of Osaka to KIX.

[From Kansai-airport Station to Kujo Station in Kyoto]

Traveling cost: 1240 yen per adult.
Traveling time: about 1 hour 45 minutes.

Using a ticket in a one-way ICOCA & Haruka package, each of you can travel by JR from Kansai-airport to Kyoto at 1030 yen with a seat not reserved.

JR Ticket Office in Kansai-airport Station is open from 5:30.

The one-way subway cost to get from Kyoto to Kujo is 210 yen per adult. The payment can be settled with an ICOCA Card in the ICOCA & Haruka package.

The earliest JR Limited Express "Haruka" train is to depart at 6:30 on weekdays / at 6:40 on other days then to arrive to Kyoto around 8:00.
In Kyoto Station, you can go down to the underground pathway and exit JR via Underground East Gate.
Then each of you can enter Kyoto City Subway with an ICOCA Card via a nearby gate, go down to the platform and take a train departing at Track 1; Kujo Station is the next stop.
In Kujo Station, each of you should exit subway with the same ICOCA Card via a ticket gate.

[From Kujo Station in Kyoto to Nippombashi Station in Osaka]

Traveling cost: 850 yen per adult.
Traveling time: about 1 hour 15 minutes.
An ICOCA Card can be used for the whole route.

Kujo (of Kyoto City Subway): Track 2
| [Kyoto City Subway Karasuma Line]
Shijo
--Short transfer outside ticket gates--
Karasuma
| [Hankyu Kyoto Line: Limited Express train: about 30 minutes]
Awaji
: Here you can change lines via the same platform.
| [Hankyu Senri Line + Osaka Municipal Subway Sakaisuji Line: Local train for Tengachaya]
Nippombashi

[From Nippombashi Station to Kansai-airport Station]

Traveling cost: 1370 yen or 1160 yen per adult.
Traveling time: about 1 hour.

The one-way subway cost to get from Nippombashi to Tengachaya is 240 yen per adult. The payment can be settled with an ICOCA Card.
You can make a short transfer in Tengachaya from Osaka Municipal Subway to Nankai.

Using a Kanku Tokuwari Rapi:t Ticket, which is available at a Nankai ticket office in Tengachaya Station, each of you can have a Nankai ride to Kansai-airport Station at 1130 yen with a seat reserved on a Limited Express train.
If you do not take a Limited Express train on Nankai lines, the one-way cost is 920 yen per adult and you cannot reserve a seat.

After exiting Nankai via a ticket gate in Kansai-airport Station, each of you can visit a nearby JR-West office and return the ICOCA Card for a refund there.
(E-money stored on an ICOCA Card can be valid for 10 years after the card is used last.)
