Why would you consider renting car if you cannot drive in the first place?..

Anyway, you are not allowed to drive with Indonesia License even if it is international license, it is not recognized in Japan. (Not part of Geneva Convention : http://www.keishicho.metro.tokyo.jp/foreign/traffic/geneva.htm )
