Hokutetsu Bus Reservation

Hey everyone,

I am planning to go from Kanazawa to Takayama on my upcoming Japan Trip. As I understand, the only way for me to do this is to take the hokutetsu/nohi service. Looking at their info page (http://www.hokutetsu.co.jp/bus/highway/takayama_english.pdf), my only options will require me to make a reservation.

In relation to the Hokutetsu office in Kanazawa, am I able to make a reservation there, or is my only option to somehow make a reservation by phone, and pick up the ticket at the Hokutetsu office?

Possible both or online reservation(JP menu only),too.

But first way possible seats not already full only.(about 50 seats) if on your travel date reach there.

But unless you are traveling on a weekend, you probably can make your reservations in person at the Hokutetsu office in Kanazawa. There were less than a dozen passengers on the 8:45am bus in mid-november.

You can travel from Kanazawa Station to Takayama Station by JR lines, taking a few trains.

Would you visit Shirakawa-go?
If you make a Shirakawa-go roundtrip from Takayama, more buses run on this section than on Takayama -- Kanazawa. And, concerning buses on this line which do not run to/from Kanazawa, seat reservation is not mandatory.

Making the reservation at the office in Kanazawa is very easy: just make sure you do it as soon as you arrive in Kanazawa to make sure you get the exact time you prefer
