Mt Inasa Ropeway during the day 2014/9/28 14:00
Hi
I read that this ropeway in Nagasaki is recommended to be done in the evening or night. Anybody tried during the day?
The fare for ropeway is expensive and I wonder if it is worth the money.
Thank you.

As mentioned on

you don't have to take the ropeway. If you don't mind walking for 15 minutes, you can take a bus most of the way for a lot less.
As for the view, yes it is far better at night. Ideally the best time is just before twilight so you can see both daytime and nighttime. But the daytime isn't bad, and well worth seeing if you have time and the weather is good. You can get a good look at it here:

You can get a very good discount on the ropeway (and some other places) if you can pick up a tourist discount card at your hotel.

I am thinking of walking from Nagasaki station to the cable car station to take the ropeway. To make things simple, taking the round trip would be the choice for me.
If I dont take this ropeway, I can go straight to the Peace Park.
I am unable to do it during the late afternoon or evening.
My most convenient time would be just before noon.
Most of the reviews that I have read about this ropeway mentioned the ride was done in the evening to view the night scenary of Nagasaki.
