Better Route Options Autumn 2014

Hi,
I plan to travel from Kyoto to Kanazawa, Shirakawa-Go and Nagoya before heading to Tokyo.
Which route is better especially for autumn (kouyou) purpose? 1. Kyoto - Kanazawa - Shirakawa-go - Nagoya - Tokyo OR 2. Kyoto - Nagoya - Kanazawa - Shirakawa-go - Tokyo
I also think about visiting Takayama on the way to Tokyo. Yet, I only find the Old Town to be the main attraction as the festivals already passed by the time of my visit. Hida Folk Village is also similar to Shirakawa-go ones.
Any other recommendations of venues worth to visit for the itinerary mentioned above?
Thanks in Advance

I think Route 1 is better.
