Hi All,
I will be arriving in Nagoya and want to check whether to buy 14 days JR Pass as I know JR Pass does not cover some of the route. I will get Fuji Hakone Free Pass for the 3 days in Hakone and Fuji Five Lake. Need advise on this.
DAY 1 - Nagoya to Takayama DAY 2 - Takayama DAY 3 - Takayama to Fukuoka Hakata Station DAY 4 - Fukuoka DAY 5 - Fukuoka DAY 6 - Fukuoka to Hiroshima DAY 7 - Hiroshima DAY 8 - Hiroshima to Tottori DAY 9 - Tottori to Tokyo DAY 10 - Kawasaki to Yokohama DAY 11 - Ashikaga Flower Park DAY 12 - Disneyland DAY 13 - DisneySea DAY 14 - Ghibli Museum to Akihabara DAY 15 - Asakusa DAY 16 - Hakone DAY 17 - Fuji Five Lake DAY 18 - Fuji Five Lake DAY 19 - Narita and Go Home
Thanks for your help.

Have you booked the ticket? My first impression is, why don't you fly into Fukuoka and work your way back to Tokyo?
Might be more time efficient and probably cost too. Other than that the itinerary looks fine .
Just be aware that Takayama - Fukuoka (Hakata station) is approx. 400minutes.

The short answer is, with this itinerary, a 14 day JR Pass will pay off, and quite well. Looking at the plan though does raise a few questions. You don't have Kyoto or Nara in it at all - and they the crown jewels of traditional Japan. Perhaps you have visited them previously...? Plus you have a fair amount of time in Fukuoka. It is a lovely city with lots to do - if you want some ideas, have a look at: http://www.thejapanfaq.com/fukpic.htmlOne of the very finest places is the Nanzoin Great Buddha just outside the city, and definitely worth a visit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lT4VQFmHFyMYou can see a lot more on: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7LcPcmoSg-j4RLa6iC7ayvBAbOn8-0...But if you can, a day trip to Nagasaki would be well worth it as well. There are numerous places that are unique to Japan: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7LcPcmoSg-gbw2yXNLK92siHyNqSNx...If you're going through Hiroshima, then you should not miss Miyajima. And if you have a chance, one superb day trip would be to visit the Konpirasan shrine in Kotohira - it is a truly *wonderful* experience. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ley9rVIewoQFor your day 10, not sure what you plan to do in Kawasaki and Yokohama - there are some good places in both, but one place you should not overlook is Kamakura.
