Time for changing trains at JR Shinjuku

I'm traveling from Aomori to Kawaguchiko on Dec 31.

Hyperdia gives me 4 minutes to transfer from Saikyo line (track 1,2) to Ltd Exp Kaiji line (track 9,10)

10:53 OMIYA (SAITAMA)
JR Saikyo Line Rapid
11:26 SHINJUKU (Arrive track 1,2)
11:30 SHINJUKU (Depart track 9)
LTD. EXP Kaiji 105
12:32 OTSUKI

Do you guys think this is possible?

The reason is I will be making reservation for reserve seat thru the jreast web. if it is not possible to run within 4 minutes, I will make reservation for the next Kaiji which will come an hour later. (not prefer)

Shinjuku is very crowded. If you're not familiar with that station you had better take an earlier Saikyo sen train or a later Kaiji.
I've been through Shinjuku at least 100 times and I would not try it with only 4 minutes.

Possible if rapid over 2 min delay happened.

Escalators not so long and not need any ticket gates.
31 Dec around noon a little crowded keep neer door side recommend.
Saikyo line rapid car no.5 and 6 of 10 are best.(front car is no.1)

If not enough time Kaiji nearest door in then walk passage to your seat car.
If want Kaiji reserveved seat(s) purchase at Aomori's JR station possible.
JR trains reserveved seat ticket sales from one month before.

Saikyo line rapid is regular commuter train cars using cannot seat booking.

BTW, Shinkansen what time arr Omiya?
