English City Bus Tour of Fukuoka / Hakata 2014/11/4 03:20
Is there an English speaking City Bus day tour of Fukuoka / Hakata? We would like to see an overview of the sights of the city. We will be there the middle of May, 2015. Thank you...

There is the Fukuoka Open Top bus with different tours, for about $15 per adult. But to my knowledge there is no tour in English:

Some areas, like the Momochihama area with the Fukuoka Tower can be reached by bus, but actually many of the best sights are pretty close to a subway station, and the announcements and ticket machines can be used in English. Otherwise, while very helpful to be able to speak Japanese, you can navigate without it.
One good source with lots of info on places to see is at:

And by all means if you can, go visit the Nanzoin temple just 20 minutes from Hakata Stn. It's free and one of the best (yet nearly unknown) places in Japan:

Plus look into a Fukuoka Tourist City Pass:

and be sure to try the Hakata ramen and mentaiko (spiced salmon roe).
