Short trip close to Narita

Hi!
We will be arriving at Narita from Europe at 9am end of February and plan to take a domestic flight to Okinawa at 6pm. We are uncertain whether we should stay overnight and take the flight in the evening the next day or connect directly. Since we will be spending 5 days in Tokyo and 2 in Narita later, we would like to do something somewhere else. But what to do and where?
