Arrive in Osaka.
Use overnight coaches and buses for intercity travel

Are you able to arrive at Chubu Centrair Airport (Nagoya) and depart through Kansai International Airport? This may save you some travelling time and expenses.

The following pass may be of interest to you, but it does not include travel to Shin-Hotaka: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2361_takayama_hokuriku.html

To Nagoya then back Osaka is very expensive in my country. The Ticket is 3 times normal return ticket.

The JR pass is very helpful.
