Takayama in winter

Do tourists go to Takayama in late January. My husband is very keen to visit but i do not know whether the place is accessible during that time because of the snow. Sorry i am new to this type of adventure.

Yes, Takayama is visited year around. It does not get excessive amounts of snow, Usually the depth of snow is just around 20 centimeters. Nearby Shirakawago gets much more snow, in case you want to see a snow landscape.

You should not have any problem to visit Takayama in late January. Takayama can be easily accessed via train or highway bus. People usually will visit Kanazawa & Shirakawago when they visit Takayama.
