Itinerary Feedback - Japan March 2015 2014/11/27 19:21
Hi,

Just looking for feedback on my itinerary so far for March 2015, travelling with a friend who has never been so we are hoping to fit in as much as possible. We will use a JR pass and also leave early mornings to maximise full days in each location.

Any feedback greatly appreciated :) Also if you'll be in japan the same time, we are 2 aussies who are happy to catch up for dinner/drinks :)

Day 1 - 19 march 2015 - arrive in tokyo, shinkansen to miyajima. stay overnight in miyajima
Day 2 - miyajima to hiroshima, explore hiroshima, stay overnight
Day 3 - hirsohima to osaka, explore osaka and see a sumo match
Day 4 - Osaka to Mt Koya, stay overnight
Day 5 - Mt Koya to Kyoto
Day 6 - Full day Kyoto
Day 7 - Kyoto and Nara day trip
Day 8 - Kyoto to takayama, stay overnight
Day 9 - Takayama to nagoya (aquarium to see whales) then on to tokyo in evening
Day 10 - Sat 28 march - Tokyo - day trip to Nikko
Day 11 - Sun 29 march - Tokyo - exploring western tokyo
Day 12 - Tokyo DisneySea (friend really wants to go!)
Day 13 - Tokyo - Asakusa & Odaiba
Day 14 - Tokyo - day trip to kamakura
Day 15 - leave tokyo for Australia

I know its jam packed, and we are happy to have busy days, also a friend recommended yokohama but not sure where to fit in or what else to sacrifice?

Any feedback really appreciated! And if you're in tokyo around same time we'd love to catch up with some locals/other travellers! :)

Cheers

You can fit Yokohama in the evening of Day 14. A dinner in Chinatown and later visit to Minato Mirai area would be the perfect end to your day there.
