Hi,
If I travel to Asahikawa 2-3 days before the winter festival starts. Do I have a chance to see anything? Thanks for all the answers.

Thnaks. I will not be there during the festival. Do they allow to see the ice sculptures during the preconstruction (2 days before the show starts)?
Thanks again.

Since Snow Sculpture start making from one month ago, I think it probably seen. And (maybe, there is a possibility that is not yet completed) Since the ice sculpture is likely to make a two-day and night, it is not seen probably. I think had better go to the other place, if possible. Do you travel on a tour?

Hi,
I travel by my own. I have only 1 week trip: 1-2 Feb in Jozakei 3-4 Feb not decide yet 5-6 Feb in Sapporo
So probably, I think to visit Asahikawa may be a good choice during 3-4 Feb. Please feel free to recommend if there are better alternatives.
Thanks again.

Since the 2015 Snow Festival starts on Feb 5 in Sapporo but Feb 6 in Asahikawa, one possibility would be to go to the latter on Feb 6 (depending very much on your flight schedule). You may only have half a day in Asahikawa and may not be able to visit the zoo, but at least you get to see the sculptures.
As for Sapporo, you still have Feb 5 to enjoy the festival.
