I m now in Osaka & planning to visit Kyoto on a day trip. There are so many great things to see & I'm not sure which are the absolute few places I must visit on a day trip ? Pls recommend maybe the top 5 places to visit.

Kinkakuji (nothing else like it...) then to the nearby 2. Ryoanji (Zen garden experience) 3. Fushimi Inari (Red Tori tunnels..Memoirs of a Geisha) 4. Kiyomizudera if time 5. end up in Gion/Ponton if time at dusk good luck
