Is it easy to get a bus or train ?

My Japanese is poor but I wanted to know if it is easy to catch a train or bus around Japan!? :)

Yes, hundreds of thousands of tourists who don't speak or read any Japanese do it every year.

Virtually all train stations and trains in cities and busy areas have signs in multiple languages, in all my years travelling in Japan I've only ever struggled when I'm off the beaten path. Buses however are another matter though, most buses are all in Japanese and the best you can hope for is the final destination is written in romanji.
