Kusatsu Onsen from Ikebukuro

HI all
I am interested in going to Kusatsu Onsen however given I am also going to Hakone and Nikko on this trip I am not sure if I will see anything significantly different?
How long exactly will it take to get there from Ikebukuro?

Hakone is targeted at tourist who wants to have hot spring, views of mt Fuji, and some activities.
Nikko is targeted at tourist who likes to see traditional buildings and see nature.
Kusatsu onsen is targeted at onsen lovers and has a much more traditional feel as compared to the two above places. (nikko has some great sites whereas Kusatsu's town is mostly traditional)
