How many people and luggage can the large taxi in Osaka hold?

Most taxis hold 4 people, but some (few) have a fold down seat on the middle front, so a 5th person can squeeze in.
Not a huge amount of luggage space though: if there are more than 3 of you I would suggest 2 taxis.

Thanks for your reply, but I was referring to what they call the "LARGE" taxi. I think it's like a minivan.

Are you referring to this type of taxi?

In Japan we call them "Jumbo Taxi" where "jumbo" comes from "Jumbo jet".

A Jumbo Taxi accomodates 9 passengers. I think you must prebook it.

I used what was referred to as a 'Van Taxi' last year in Yokohama. It was actually a minivan not as large as the previous poster.
I was told it should be booked a couple of hours in advance and that most taxi companies have a few available.

3 people and 4 large suitcases in the back fit easily, we could probably have added one more person.
