Which is the best garden for strolling at mid may in tokyo?
Yoyogi and the meiji shrine
Shinjuku gyoen
Ueno paek
Shinjuku central park
Hama rikyu garden

I will visit kenrokuen at kanazawa too..so i prefer choose the one that have a different feeling.thx

Visit the small garden at the Nezu Museum, Omotesando. It's (in my opinion) the best in Tokyo.

I enjoyed Kyu-Shiba-rikyu near the JR station in Hamamatsucho. But I have was there in January.

My recommendation is Hama-Rikyu-Park.It has a wide open space and is near the sea. You can feel good air particularly in spring season like May.

For something different from Kenrokuen, I recommend Shinjuku Gyoen (a large park with different gardens and many different trees) and Yoyogi Gyoen (a regular city park).

may i ask is the shinjuku-gyoen free for weekend?
i assume yoyogi gyoen is normal park where people gathering , nothing special about it except the meiji shrine right?

how much time do i need to strolling in shinjuku gyoen and meiji shrine?
