Walk from Tsumago to Nagiso Station

Hi all, I am wondering if it is possible to walk the stretch from Tsumago to Nagiso Station, and if so, which route should we take? The bus schedule ( http://www.japan-guide.com/bus/kiso.html) has travel between these two destinations taking only about 10 minutes (potentially more if Golden Week travel has anything to do with it!) and if it's a fine day it seems like a good opportunity to stretch our legs. Googlemaps seems to think it's entirely possible, but it suggests 3 possible routes. Some more googling tells me that there is a route that takes you past the Tsumago Castle ruins, as well as the Kabuto Kannon shrine, but those same sites don't have maps pointing me in the right direction. :) This is what google gives me for routes: https://goo.gl/maps/k4p6eIs anyone familiar enough with this area that they could help point me in the right direction? Thanks! Sarah.

If you continue out the north side of town, you pass through some farm fields and then get to a turnoff to go up to the old castle site. There's nothing left of the old castle except the views over Tsumago and a few trenches where some walls used to be. There is also a shelter on top if you have rain. Back on the road you go past some more farm fields and a small temple, and in Nagiso, come out by an old steam locomotive near the train station. If you have the time, it's more interesting than the bus.

Thanks, guys!
I'm glad walking to there is doable! I'm not worried about it being the most interesting thing to look at on our trip, it just seems like a good opportunity to explore the scenery a bit more, as we have nearly 2 days in the area. :)
Cheers,
Sarah.
