Mt. Inasa Access 2015/5/7 17:56
Hello,

I was wondering how to access Mt. Inasa at night now that the ropeway is no longer running?

I read there are buses available, but is anyone able to provide me with:
1) a timetable of these buses
2) route they take / route map

Also, from closest bus stop, how long does it take to get to the top? Is it a steep climb?

Thank you!

Hello.
The Inasayama rope way is closed till next February due to under construction.
The Nagasaki Yuran Bus travel company provides bus tours from each hotels or Nagasaki station to the top of mountain.
Check the site below.

Unfortunately there are no English site,Japanese only.
In my opinion it is the easiest way that You should access to the top by taxi.
Hope this helps.

Just went up yesterday.

Take the number 5 bus from Nagasaki Station (150 yen at 6:20pm). Get off at the last stop at Inasayama. Walk 800m or take a free shuttle bus to the top (I took it up but walked down). Return on the number 10 bus (same stop as where you got off) at 8:20, 8:50, or 9:20pm for 150 yen. Some busses running from hotels are reservation only but some aren't. Either way works. At least you have options.

Thank you both for your help!
I very much appreciate it.
Would have been quite upset if I went to Nagasaki and couldn't see the view.

Just one more quick question actually:

Is 9:20pm the last bus back to the station?

There may have been one more at 9:50. If you are staying at a hostel they have time slips to give you (I'm at a hotel so I didn't get one). You can also get times from the info center right at Nagasaki Station when you arrive.
