Buy Shinkansen ticket at KIX

Around end of Nov, I'm going to TAKAYAMA via Nagoya (due to my air ticket condition, I have to land at KIX).

I plans to take Haruka from KIX to Kyoto,
Then Sinkansen to Nagoya
And then at Nagoya, take Hida Ltd Express to Takayama

1) Can I buy and reserve the Shinkansen ticket and Hida Express ticket at the JR ticket office at Kansai airport?

2) Can I reserve these 2 tickets online? I'm just worried that when I arrive there, all seats may possibly be full.

My friend and I took this exact routing to Takayama one morning few months ago in March. Managed to get our JR Railpasses and reserved all seats up to Takayama without any problem.

You should have problem reserving seats on trains in November as I don't think it's peak season. Just for info, I had no problem too reserving my seat to Tokyo immediately on arrival in KIX last year.

JR's reserved seat sales starts just one month before date 10 am.

Shinkansen : no need reserved seat operate numbers a lot no worry.
Hida : reserved seat(s) recommend but if Autumn leaf season peak weekend are hardly
if in weekday or Sun evening are maybe possible.

If already full just shoud go earlier to Nagoya stn for getting Non-reserved seat(s) cars.
