Aso-san visit impossible?

Hello,
I hear that Aso san is impossible to visit due to level 2 alarm or something. My question is:
- Is that information still correct ?
- Any possibility that this alarm level is lifted in September ?

It is hard to predict if it will be lifted by then. It is a volcano!

Yes.

No. The volcano just erupted again a couple of weeks ago. It is likely to stay at level 2 for at least another half year even if volcanic activity were to decrease now.

The area around the crater is still off limits, and is likely to stay that way. If you are driving, there are some good sights nearby though.
