JR Rail Pass between Hiroshima, Osaka, Tokyo 2015/8/27 07:14
Can you use the JR Rail Pass to travel on the Shinkansen between Osaka and Hiroshima and then Hiroshima to Tokyo.

Some site's I have looked at say yes but others are contadictory, so I am confused.

Yes. There are a few "kinds" of JR Shinkansen you cannot take with the nationwide JR Pass, but you can travel on Shinkansen trains in general.

When using Hypedia for Shinkansen travel using JR Railpass between Hiroshima - Shin-Osaka (Shinkansen station for Osaka) - Tokyo, under " More options " untick options for

- " NOZOMI / MIZUHO / HAYABUSA (SHINKANSEN) " (JRP users are excluded from using NOZOMI & MIZUHO but allowed on Tohoku HAYABUSA)
- " Private Railway"
