Any limited train for JR North Kyushu 3 days 2015/8/30 16:41
I intend to purchase the 3 day North Kyushu JR Pass (7,200 yen) for travel to Nagasaki, Beppuu, Sasebo, and Fukuoka
I would like to know whether I could use the 3-day JR pass for travel on the JR Ltd Express Midori, JR Ltd Express Huis Ten Bosch, JR Sasebo line or not.
please help to reply since I stay over night at Sasebo. But do not sure that I can use JR Ltd Express Midori and JR Sasebo line or I need to pay additional when I use or not.
Thank you so much.

You sure can, but please be aware that to go from Beppu to Nagasaki or vice-versa takes around 4 hours. If you can go from one place to the next without the long trips you will enjoy yourself more and be able to see a lot more as well.
Nagasaki is really one of the most interesting places - don't skimp on the many different sights.

Be sure to see Mt. Inasa at night if the weather is clear, and try the Nagasaki chanpon and saraudon. Also the Koshibyo temple is an often overlooked shrine that is quite unique in Japan:

Gunkanjima, while it takes 3 hours, will be a place you never forget.
Beppu also has its Hells Tour and nearby monkey park/aquarium:

For Fukuoka, there are many open parks, shopping, seaside historical areas, and urban neon. See this site as a good guide:

It also has the Nanzoin Temple Great Buddha which is a hidden gem that few have discovered:

There are also many useful videos to give you a preview:

The tonkotsu ramen there is also famous.
