The meal should be included in the room rate/plan if you book directly with them. It is also included in the Booking.com rate (this is where I booked my reservation).
Their food is quite good and they are one of the few places in Japan that actually has a gluten-free bread on offer (they are also exceptionally good at accommodating guests with special diets).
The staff speak English and you should not hesitate to email them directly with any questions about the meals. They will reply quickly.
