Skiing in Karuizawa in early December 2015/11/8 18:10
Hi,
we are going Japan this early dec. We have a free day in Tokyo, and my 7year old girl wants to experience snow.
Is there snow at Karuizawa in early December?
If yes, Is it possible to to travel to Karuizawa to experience snow and try skiing. We have no skiing experience. But we must to back to Tokyo at about 4pm.
Please advice .

Karuizawa Prince Hotel ski resort is already open.
They have rental ski gear and ski school.
It will take about one hour and half to get there from Tokyo station.

Enjoy skiing in Japan.

Karuizawa Prince Hotel Ski Resort is already opened(from 31 Oct).
But, they are all artificial snow. There is no natural snow there.
Karuizawa is too warm to expect natural snow fall.
Adult lift pass is 4,500 Yen, 8:30 - 16:30 daily opened. Children at age 7 is free with adult attendance.
Rental snow wear and the other equipments are available.
