Driving in takayama

Hi everyone.
I will be in takayama on 2nd to 4 th December.
I intend to rent a car to drive around mainly to shirakawa-go , shin hokata ropeway etc..
Will it snow by then or will the roads have black ice?
I am not familiar with driving on snowy road and black ice?
Also , if I rent a car to drive, please suggest where else can I drive to for sightseeing?

Why not get the bus? There are good organised bus tours to those places and someone else can worry about the snow/ice. In Takayama itself, its too small to warrant a car (in my opinion), I just walk around town).

Hello,
I am in Takayama now. There isn't any snow. Juz rain. It is similar to rain Singapore but heavier. There is no problem at all

But snow is forecast to fall from the 26th. Then, it won't be like Singapore anymore.
