Kanazawa to Wajima by car in January?

We have hired a car and would like to travel from Kanazawa to Wajima. Hopefully travelling up the coast visiting Sojiji Soin Temple and Senmaida Rice Fields.

Is this possible in Winter or is this road closed or covered in snow in Winter. We are from Australia and although I have driven on snow it was not for long or very far.

Appreciate your advice.

There is a considerable chance that you will find winter driving conditions. But all the roads are usually open, and there is not usually a large amount of snow. So, it depends on whether you feel comfortable about possibly driving in winter conditions.
