Gero Suimeikan and Fugaku Ryokans

I'm looking for rokyan in Gero not sure which to book between Suimeikan and Fugaku. Anyone have stayed before would appreciate your valuable feedback or comments.

I've stayed at Suimeikan. It's a typical onsen resort ryokan hotel style; nothing special but perfectly decent. Don't know Fugaku but my god their website is badly designed. Rooms seem decent enough though.

Other than that, all I'd say is that Gero is probably my least favourite of all the many hot spring resorts I've been to in Japan. The Japanese rave about the quality of the water, which admittedly is good, but otherwise it's just a small and fairly boring town with lots of grey hotels. YMMV...
