I'm planning to go to japan next year, I want to know, is asama and/or hakutaka shinkansen covered by jr kanto pass? which one is covered? or is it both? thank you.

Yes, both of them are covered as far as Sakudaira Station. Note also that the pass will be renamed Tokyo Wide Pass from December 19. All the details are here:

You should read Pass official web by JR-East(Pass provide Railway company) first .

"www.japan-guide.com" is not Railway company official
but just easier for understanding about details deeply.

I ask here because in jr east website wasn't any detail about asama or hakutaka shinkansen, all that noted there is exception on hayabusa, komachi, and granclass that aren't covered by kanto pass/ tokyo wide pass.
So I wonder if there are any more exception on shinkansen, and it was already answered, thank you.
