Narita Sky Access? 2015/12/10 08:29
I'll be travelling to Japan this winter break and was wondering exactly how the Narita Skyaccess worked.

I intend to travel from Narita Airport Station to Higashi-Nihombashi station. Here is my route. https://goo.gl/maps/DKK9faSbEHt

So far from what I understood Narita Skyaccess is a direct line to certain stops, but after certain points it starts stopping at individual stations. I'm not exactly sure about which line I should be riding on. Do I wait for a line that goes towards Haneda Airport when I'm in Narita?

Thanks a bunch. This is my first time to Japan, and I'm pretty confused about how the public transit system works.

So it is 51 minutes and Y1290 according to http://www.keisei.co.jp/keisei/tetudou/skyliner/us/
http://www.keisei.co.jp/keisei/tetudou/skyliner/us/directions/asakusa....
and you are going to a stop 800m from the Asakusa station - looks pretty direct. When you buy your ticket at the airport it will have details of platform number and time of the train.

Re: Narita Sky Access? 2015/12/10 19:35
"Narita Sky Access" is not train name just line(route) nick via Hokusou Railway route
http://www.keisei.co.jp/keisei/tetudou/skyliner/us/img/top_img.jpg
between NRT and (Keisei)Ueno via Aoto colored Blue and Yellow lines are so. .
Hokusou Railway is not "Keisei Railway" just one of operate service partner.
(Red line "Keisei Main line" no include Hokusou Railway section.)

So you take "Access Express. for HANEDA AIRPORT(HND)" (Yellow line on above map)
no need transfer at Aoto and Oshiage operating one train and no need (Ltd)Express fee.
from "Keisei Railway" ticket gate (Find Orange direction) of NRT.

http://www.aran.or.jp/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/2011_0086_NaritaSkyAc...
NRT (T1 and T2/T3 both) and Higashi-Nihombashi stations placed underground.

Until Aoto is "Narita Sky Access" of Keisei line include Hokusou Railway.
Until Oshiage is "Keisei Oshiage line" of Keisei Railway.
Until Sengakuji (via Higashi-Nihombashi) is (subway) Asakusa line of Toei.
Until HND is Keihin-kyukou(Keikyu) line.

"Access Exp" train using 4 own different body cars using (by 4 companies)
but no different fare and service(no seat reseration) no worry.

Just use Hyperdia.

http://www.hyperdia.com/cgi/en/search.html?dep_node=NARITA%20AIRPORT%2...

For example for the first train in those results, just take the 11:24 train bound for Haneda Airport (11:26 from Narita T2), and you are good. Usually all that matters is the departure time and destination, just note those two things and then consult the signs at the station to find your train.

And in case there is no direct train for your timing, just repeat the process at any connecting station. For example for the second result, which has a transfer at Aoto, you would do the following.

First at Narita you take the 11:27 train for Keisei-Ueno (11:30 from Narita T2), and you get off at Aoto. And then at Aoto you take the 12:33 train for Haneda Airport.

Re: From NRT to Higashi-nihombashi Station 2015/12/10 23:25
Higashi-nihombashi Station (A-15) is a station on Toei subway Asakusa Line.
The subway network spread over Tokyo and surrounding prefectures consists of nine Tokyo Metro lines and four Toei subway lines.

- Tokyo Subway Route Map
http://www.tokyometro.jp/en/subwaymap/pdf/routemap_en.pdf
- Guide for stations and routes on Keisei lines (and some jointed lines)
http://www.keisei.co.jp/keisei/tetudou/railmap/railmap.pdf

Any Access Express train of Keisei which is
starting from Narita Airport Station (KS42)
and bound for Haneda Airport, Nishi-magome or Keikyu Kurihama
continues onto Toei subway Asakusa Line beyond Oshiage Station (A-20)
as a Local, Express, Limited Express or Airport Limited Express train (#1)
and makes a stop at Higashi-nihombashi Station (A-15).

According to the current timetables,
Access Express trains of Keisei leaving NRT after 16:40 on weekdays / after 17:50 on other days are bound for (Keisei) Ueno (KS01) (#2).
If you take a Keisei Access Express train bound for (Keisei) Ueno (KS01), you can get off the train at either (Keisei) Takasago (KS10) (#2) or Aoto (KS09) and catch a train (departing at the same or the other track beside the platform) bound for a station other than (Keisei) Ueno and Oshiage, which is to continue onto Toei subway Asakusa Line.

"Narita SKY ACCESS (Line)" is a nickname for the railroad line operated by Keisei (#3) which connects Narita Airport and (Keisei) Takasago Stations via Narita Yukawa Station (KS43).
Until (Keisei) Takasago Station (KS10) you alternatively can use Keisei Main Line, in which case you pass through both entrance and intermediate ticket gates of the Keisei station in NRT.

In NRT Terminals 1 and 2, there are stations of Keisei and of JR-East.
Narita Airport Stations are located in NRT Terminal 1, and Airport Terminal 2 Stations are located in NRT Terminal 2.
(If you fly out from NRT, please note that both (Keisei) Narita Station (#2) and Narita Station (of JR-East) are located outside the airport.)
In NRT Terminal 3, currently there is no railroad station.

#1
: On signboards, Airport Limited Express trains of Toei subway are indicated in letters as Limited Express, and you can distinguish them from other Limited Express trains only by an icon of a jet plane.
: Airport Limited Express trains skip Honjo-azumabashi (A-19), Kuramae (A-17), Asakusabashi (A-16), Ningyocho (A-14), Takaracho (A-12) and Higashi-ginza (A-11) Stations.
#2
: The word "Keisei" in names of Keisei stations is often omitted in signs and announcements.
#3
: Narita SKY ACCESS (Line) is composed of four parts which are legally owned by different companies (e.g. Hokuso-Railway) other than Keisei, but usually ordinary passengers can think this line just as a Keisei line, not caring such complicated details.

Clarification 2015/12/10 23:33
Let me make a minor correction for clarification.
NOT: bound for a station other than (Keisei) Ueno and Oshiage
BUT: destined to a station other than (Keisei) Ueno and Oshiage
