Odawara ume/plum festival 2016/1/17 18:59
I plan to go to see the Festival in both Odawara Castle and in Soga Bairin on march 2 and I have two questions :
-The main Keep in Odawara Castle seems to be in works, is it still good to go to see it or better to skip?
-Is the soga bairin close in case of bad weather or is it alway open?

Thanks for your answer.

This winter not enough "cold" low temp days
blooming already started 2 weeks earlier not good.
So no exact late season still enough tree numbers left or not.

Watch Fes official blooming info. (now not update daily)

You can see the situation here for Soga Bairin.

last year, I went to see on March 2.

Plum becomes small, but it was still blooming.
Per Bessho Bairin.
But leave a little, are also open events such as Hina matsuri(Doll Festival) of Seto yashiki and the Cherry Blossom Festival in Matsuda-machi.

Doll Festival venue is the two-fold, but the other one is close to the Daiyuzan.
To the venue from Seto yashiki there is free shuttle bus.
Since it is difficult to turn all, you might even be to pick up the 2-3.
