Sapporo Otaru Welcome Pass from airport?

Hello there. On its website it says I need to pay 780 yen more and it will "cover the cost from New Chitose Airport to the first station inside of the Free Area. (Kami Nopporo)".
Does this mean if I wanna go to Sapporo JR, I need to get off at Kami Nopporo and catch a new train or I can just continue my journey in the same train to Sapporo JR please?

No, they can sell you the ticket from the airport to Kami Nopporo at the same time when you bu the Sapporo Otaru Welcome Pass. You won't have to get off the train along the way.
