Two women, staying in Kanazawa for two nights. We are thinking of renting a car and exploring the Noto Peninsula for one day in May, to enjoy local culture, scenery and food and would appreciate suggestions. We will also be in Tokyo and Kyoto.

Traveling around The Noto with a car is really easy. The most famous tourist spots are Wakura Onsen, Wajima morning market, Mitsukejima Island and the Okunoto Coast. I highly recommend it because it's a picturesque way to experience rural Japan. There's also an aquarium in Nanao and a cute UFO museum in Hakui.

We are planning a 3 Night 4 day Trip to Kanazawa in mid June. Is the following plan OK? Any suggestions are welcome
Day 1 : Drive from Tokyo- Kanazawa Day 2: Enjoy Kanazawa attractions Day 3: Drive to Noto Peninsula (one day trip and back to Kanazawa) Day 4: Drive back to Tokyo

Unless you have particular reasons to drive I would take the train from Tokyo to Kanazawa & back & just rent a car for the day trip to the Noto peninsula. It would almost certainly be quicker & you wouldn't have to worry about car parking.
