Stay in Furano 2016/4/4 22:20
I am planning to stay in Furano for 2 nights during 1st week of June and then go back to Sapporo.
The plan is to also visit Takinoue pink moss park, need help on the itinerary. Possible?

1) Should I stay 1 night in Furano, visit the farm and then drive to Takinoue pink moss park the next day?
2) How long is the drive from Furano to Takinoue pink moss park? Should I stay near for 1 night?
3) Is Takinoue park near Asahikawa Zoo ?
4) How to drive back from Takinoue to Sapporo?

Can someone advise me the possible itinerary and driving route?

Although staying in Furano is possible, I would rather stay at an onsen town nearby.
Yes. it is possible to do what you planned.

Staying in Asahikawa is also possible if you plan to take the train back to Sapporo. There are hotels (very extremely) near the station and the train ride is slow but pleasant.

Thanks in advance.

The drive from Furano to Takinoue Park is almost 3 hrs.

The drive from Takinoue Park to Sapporo is about 3.5 hrs.

So if you want to do it in a day you are looking at more than 6 hrs of driving. It is do-able but personally I wouldnft call it enjoyable. Takinoue Park is not near Asahiyama Zoo which are still almost 100 km 2 hr drive apart.

To confuse you further, if your main objective is pink moss the Higashi-mokoto Shibazakura Park is more beautiful but the drive from either Furano or Sapporo is even longer as the park is situated further east roughly south of Abashiri.
