Traffic from Haneda to Narita Airport 2016/4/25 22:23
Hi All

Date: 11/5/2016, Wednesday
I will depart from Osaka Kansai Airport at 11am on Wednesday 11/5/2016 and arrive Tokyo Haneda Airport at 12.15pm. I then need to head to Narita Airport for my next flight at 5.20pm.

I would like to ask the road traffic from Haneda to Narita Airport from 1.00pm to 3.20pm on the weekday. Is it congested? Is it safe to take bus?

I plan to take bus as I may have many luggage to carry.
if i take train, i believe i need to change few stations, right?

Thanks in advance

Just take limousine bus to Narita. The bus will chose the very best route to avoid traffic jam. The limousine buses must run on time always. They have permission to run on public, highway and the other narrow street which the other buses are unable to run to keep the time. I recommend you to use limousine bus.

Re: Traffic from Haneda to Narita Airport 2016/4/26 12:34
There are some direct trains, for example you have one leaving Haneda domestic at 13:02 and arriving at Narita around 14:30. Personally I would take trains, simply because they are cheaper. I do not see that baggage is a problem in trains.

Now checked
by air KIX to NRT direct domestic flight by Peach "MM315" not be full yet.

By Limo bus basically no worry serious traffic jam
but sometimes big car accident happend by large size trucks mixed.
This is opposite route NRT to HND bus video recorded by passenger.

Hi LPDA, Firas

Is this the direct train?

1:05 PM Haneda Airport
1:05 PM Haneda-Airport International Terminal Station

Train Keikyu-Kuko Line ƒGƒAƒ|[ƒg‰õ“Á Narita-Airport, 11 min (non-stop)
Train Keikyu Line Narita-Airport, 2 min (non-stop)
Subway Asakusa Line Narita-Airport, 20 min (7 stops)
Train Narita Skyaccess Narita-Airport, 53 min (8 stops)

2:34 PM Airport Terminal 2 Station
2:34 PM Narita International Airport

Re: Traffic from Haneda to Narita Airport 2016/4/26 13:51
Yes, that's the one. At Haneda, just go to the Keikyu station (not Tokyo Monorail) and take the 13:02 train bound for Narita Airport. (There is a possibility that the times will change slightly between ow and November.)

Re: Traffic from Haneda to Narita Airport 2016/4/26 17:27
Reached HND int'l terminal as int'l continue flight just bounded KIX?
If so take 1:05 pm train right no need transfering.
http://ekikara.jp/newdata/detail/1308021/31724.htm
If means domestic flight you will reach to domestic terminal 1 or 2 take 1:02 pm.(mentioned later)

This rapid train runs on different company railways fr HND
Keikyu,Toei Asakusa line as subway(underground) and Keisei include SkyAccess(section's nick)
also using three company's (different design/coloring) cars.
But no worry all trains are same fare as one ticket(no need each sections tickets).
This is not published video play speed HND to NRT all sections.
https://youtu.be/hXpCYgE3myE

HND has two domestic terminal building and one int'l terminal building located a bit diffrerent.
Also both terminal(domestic/int'l) using diffrerent web be careful.
https://www.tokyo-airport-bldg.co.jp/en/access/train/route_map.html
http://www.haneda-airport.jp/inter/en/access/
http://www.haneda-airport.jp/inter/en/access/portbus.html

NRT web,too if need to T3 (vs T1/T2).
http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/index.html
http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/access/index.html
http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/access/haneda/index.html
http://www.narita-airport.jp/t3/en/index.html
http://www.narita-airport.jp/t3/en/access/train/index.html

And
2:34 PM Airport Terminal 2 Station
2:34 PM Narita International Airport is bit wrong.

arr 2:34 PM Narita Airport Terminal 2 Station (‹ó`‘æ2ƒrƒ‹)
arr 2:37 PM Narita Airport Terminal 1 Station (¬“c‹ó`)
T3 hasn't railway station need get off T2 then walk or free shuttle bus.
All three terminal buildings having domestic/int'l checkin gate both so no separate like HND.
(Read above NRT web again carefully)
So T2 means not only for int'l terminal.

Re: Traffic from Haneda to Narita Airport 2016/4/26 18:31
Thanks again, Firas and lpda.

I actually purchased my ANA ticket to fly from OSAKA Kansai Airport to Kuala Lumpur (KUL)

However, ANA arranged for me to take STAR FLYER to fly from Kansai to Haneda airport, then continue to fly from Narita airport to Kuala Lumpur.

Based on the flight itinerary, from Haneda to Narita, it is self arranged. Therefore, i need to make sure I could reach Narita airport around 3.30pm-4.00pm (my flight is at 5.20pm)

Re: Traffic from Haneda to Narita Airport 2016/4/26 19:34
I don't recommend you to take train access between Haneda and Narita. Just simply take a limousine access for it.
I think you can catch a limousine bus at 12:40(Haneda terminal 2) - Narita terminal 2(14:00) or terminal 1(14:05) or terminal 3(14:10).

12:50(Haneda terminal 2) - 14:10(Narita terminal 2), 14:15(Terminal 1) or 14:20(terminal 3).

Re: Traffic from Haneda to Narita Airport 2016/6/16 00:55
So, with the traffic situation and if my parents (who will be in wheel chairs) can make it through their flight? Their arrival in Haneda is 1:55pm on a Friday and getting a connecting flight at Narita to Toronto. Flight for Toronto is 4:20pm. Can they make it? Even if I check them in early with Air Canada online check in?

Their arrival in Haneda is 1:55pm on a Friday and getting a connecting flight at Narita to Toronto. Flight for Toronto is 4:20pm.

So your parents will have 145 min. From Haneda to Narita, it will roughly take 100 min minimum considering the transfer time at Haneda. Then you will have 45 min. The check-in limit for Air-Canada is 60 min for Narita, so it is unlikely they can catch the flight. Can you change their flight to Haneda earlier? Or other way to go to Narita?

Re: Traffic from Haneda to Narita Airport 2016/6/16 21:26
I did not take limo bus. I took Narita Express from Haneda Airport to Narita Airport. The whole journey took about 70-80 min.

Also, I spent about 20-30 min to walk from the arrival gate to collect my luggages, then headed to the train station.

for your case, as mentioned by frog1954, it is unlikely for your parent to catch 4.20pm flight at Narita Aiport.

Re: Traffic from Haneda to Narita Airport 2016/6/17 01:41
Aichagirl73 - is it not possible to book your parents on a flight on Air Canada out of Haneda? That way they don't have to change airports. As far as I know Air Canada serves both airports, Haneda and Narita.

Re: Traffic from Haneda to Narita Airport 2016/6/17 09:34
Brennan1982,

I took Narita Express from Haneda Airport to Narita Airport. The whole journey took about 70-80 min.

Narita Express does not run from Haneda Airport (there is no JR line at present), so this should be a trick of memory.

Aichagirl73,

I guess the flight is for today. I reconsidered the timeline, and thought if you "online-check-in", your parents do not need to go the the cheek-in counter of Air Canada 60 min prior to departure. However, in this case they can't check in luggage: carry-on baggage only. Further they must go to the boarding gate by 3:50. This is still very tight.

https://www.limousinebus.co.jp/en/platform_searches/index/4/4

If they take 14:20 bus, it will arrive Narita Terminal 1 at 15:45, according to the timetable. They might better take taxi from Haneda which will minimize their traveling time. I don't know how strict Air Canada is, but if you can't change the flight (domestic or international), your best bet should taking taxi.

Re: Traffic from Haneda to Narita Airport 2016/6/17 10:12
@frog

Yea, the name always confused me.
The one i took should be operated by keisei company.
I think is Narita sky access line.
Definitely not the one operated by JR.

Thanks for correction.

Re: Traffic from Haneda to Narita Airport 2016/6/30 03:06
oh sorry, my parents flight at Narita is 530pm.

They will be arriving @ Haneda Int'l airport at 1:55pm (going thru baggage claim and immigration and buying the limousine ticket), hope they can catch the 14:40 bus schedule and arrive in Narita Int'l airport terminal 1 around 4:15pm. Then, check-in luggage, immigration again. That is, if immigration in both airports are fast.

Wish them luck. Thank you for your replies

Re: Traffic from Haneda to Narita Airport 2016/7/3 07:37
How did it go for your parents? My boyfriend has a similar flight, arriving at Haneda 815am, and the the connecting flight from Narita is 1140am. Do anybody know if this would be enough time? He is japanese so no need for immigration, but he do need to check in his luggage again at Narita.

Thanks!!
