Travel to kyushu?

Dear all,
Is it still safe to travel to kyushu and drive from fukouka to beppu, yufuiin and tachigoko gorge? Travelling on 19 may...please advise and have never been to kyushu. Any other suggestions please?

That should be fine as the Eastern coast of Kyushu wasn't affected nearly as much as the west, and the expressways that you'd be using are fully open.
