Group of 10 first time in Osaka 2016/4/27 09:53
There are 10 of us. Need help with tour ideas & transportation.

Must do & visit are: Kinkakuji Temple, Universal Studios, Namba/Dotonburin area, shopping...

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

Also what area of hotel would be an ideal to stay for easy access to all...

Thanks!

Kinkakuji is in Kyoto, not Osaka. It is easy to get to Kyoto from Osaka, though; but once you get to Kyoto Station, you will need to transfer to a bus for Kinkakuji.

Best way to get around is public transport, even with a large group - just make sure you can keep track of eachother! I would get an IC card (reloadable public transport card); in the Kansai area, the local one is the ICOCA card. You can buy them at JR West offices or from ticket machines (English available). They will work for all public transport, including getting to Kyoto and on Kyoto buses.

If you have a lot of time and don't mind crowded transport, the bus to Kinkakuji is a suitably unpleasant way to spend an hour. Subway to Kitaoji and then taxi is nicer/quicker and not much more expensive.
