I am going to be in Japan from the 3rd October to 14 oct. we fly to osaka however we are trying to decide if to stay in osaka for the day or go to hiroshima. our iternery it such that we need to pick one of the 2 as we are saying in kyoto, going to the F1 and staying in nagoya , going to mt fuji and ending in tokyo so trying to make the most of it. any ideas would be welcome.

Your question is not exactly clear.
From what i can tell you are already staying in Kyoto. Since Kyoto is nearby Osaka you can easily take the train between cities, if you really want to see Osaka.
Instead of staying in Osaka, Hiroshima will be a good change of pace due to the different culture and way of life.
