Will it snow in Sapporo in December 5, 2016?

I will be arriving in Sapporo in December 5, 2016 for a holiday. My kids have never actually seen snow. And I think it will be a good vacation for them to feel snow in Sapporo.
Will there be any snow in December 5, 2016 in Sapporo.

My routes are to Sapporo and Tokyo. I will take flight to Sapporo but then from Sapporo to Tokyo we intend to take one of the Shinkansen Train. Then fly back from Narita to Malaysia.
