Hello, we will arrive on a monday in July at the island of Naoshima. Most museums are closed on monday. What can we see on a monday during the summer festival? Can we rent bicycles to look around? We will visit one or two museums on tuesday.

Depends where you are staying, plus there are several open-air artworks. The Island isn't very big so bus, bike or even walk are options.

There's not too much that's open air. You could have an art-bath, see the "temple" artsite (but it's right by the other art sites/houses, so if they are closed on Monday it probably doesn't make sense to go just to see this one thing).
Check it out on the trienniale website and/or the Benesse/Naoshima website.

Just don't stay on Naoshima, on a Monday, that'd be silly. Go to a neighboring island: Teshima, Shodoshima, Ogijima, etc.
