Sapporo
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2163.htmlSapporo Factory is where the first Sapporo beer brewery was located. It's now a downtown shopping mall. The Sapporo Beer Museum was a sugar beet factory before being a museum and the cook-at-your-table restaurant.
Mt. Moiwa
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e5309.htmlTake the street car to the stop close to the ropeway, then walk a bit uphill to the ropeway station and take it to the top of Mt. Moiwa for views out over the city. On a clear day, you can see as far as the next mountain range to the north, the volcanoes to the SE and over most of Sapporo.
Historical Village of Hokkaido
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e5303.htmlBuildings with significant historic architecture were moved to this park. The Aoyama's herring goten from the famous villa in Shukutsu, was moved here. It's a bus ride from either Sapporo Station or a subway and bus ride from Shin-Sapporo Station.
Otaru
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6700.htmlA short train ride from Sapporo, Otaru is worth a couple of nights. The canal area is the big advertised attraction, but going farther to the SE through the old architecture of early Hokkaido all the way to the Music Box Museum after the end of the canal is just as interesting. A short bus ride from Otaru Station to Shukutsu is worthwhile to check out the Aoyama Villa with all its artwork and the Herring Museum up on the hill.
http://www.otaru-kihinkan.jp/eng.htmlThe Japanese go to Shukutsu to visit the aquarium but I've never been there although I've looked down on it from the cliffs above and listened to the seal show.
Furano-Biei
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6826.htmlThere are bus tours to the flower farms around Furano and Biei. Some start in Sapporo and others in Furano if you go there first. There should be something in bloom by the middle of June although the peak of the lavender bloom is in July.
Shiraoi/Noboribetsu
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e5375.htmlThe Ainu Museum in Shiraoi is good for a short stop. It's a train stop before the more famous Noboribetsu Onsen Station. There is the museum and a reconstructed village next door with some crafts and dances being performed. You just have to walk the gauntlet of souvenir stores to get to the entrance. It's a short walk from the station or a very short taxi ride.
Noboribetsu is an ugly hot spring town, best for staying inside and soaking in the hot water and eating meals in your room. Some of the hotels/ryokan in the hot springs town will pick you up at the station, otherwise, it's a short bus ride up the mountain.
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6750.htmlYou could find a nice ryokan here, such as the Takinoya, but there are others as well.

http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6745.htmlThis is another onsen town within the city limits of Sapporo but an hour bus ride south, through some mountain and rural scenery.
Farther afield are the national parks and hot springs in the center of the island.
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6775.htmlor Hakodate, at the southern end of the island, about 4 hours by train.
