Autumn Foliage 2016/6/3 16:22
Hi,

I am planning on being in Kyoto for 4 days from the 27th November this year. Will i be too late for the autumn colours or should i try and get here a bit earlier?

Thanks

I was in Kyoto around this time last year and it was indeed a perfect time. I'll be going back again this year, around the same date as it's definitely the best time to view the autumn foliage.

It does change year by year depending on many factors and it is too early to pin any precise date. Best to be flexible and keep an eye out on the reports on the Japan Guide: http://www.japan-guide.com/blog/koyo15/

Late November might be just after the peak (as others have said, it's dependent on the weather), but there will still be some colour! That's when I was in Kyoto in 2014 and it was gorgeous. Nara was even better a week before that.
