JR Pass Activation

I will be arriving in Narita on July, 10th, but I just want to activate the JR Pass on the 14th. How can I do that?

The problem is that I will be departing very early on the 14th (5:00am), and the JR store won't be open yet.

When you exchange your voucher for the pass, ask them to have the period of validity start on the 14th.

You can choose the start date when you exchange the voucher.

Forgot to add: you can also make bookings for the activated dates before the activation starts.

Just exchange until 14th night.
No need at NRT and on the day morning.

btw Tokyo and Haneda are so. (as in Tokyo)

If enough time at NRT you can activate as "fr 14th".
